Welcome to Flying Start NHS

Flying Start NHS is the national development programme for all newly qualified nurses, midwives and allied health professionals in NHS Scotland. It has been designed to support your transition from student to newly qualified health professional by supporting your learning in everyday practice through a range of learning activities available on the left hand side and additional support from work based mentors. If you are a newly qualified practitioner, use the Register link on the top menu to gain access to the full development programme today. If your role includes supporting learners in the NHS Scotland, you can register as a Flying Start Mentor using the link in the Mentor Area.
